Teacher Grant Application

The Aerospace Corporation is committed to sharing our passion for the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines to inspire the next generation — shaping and securing the future of our nation. Aerospace is celebrating back to school by rewarding teachers who create lesson plans that inspire students to learn more about Space STEM. Together with our STEM community partner and sponsor, Aerospace Federal Credit Union, we are awarding teachers for their lesson plans with a small classroom grant of up to $500. 

Rules:  

  • Submitted lesson plan must be original and relate to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics with a focus on the field of aerospace.
  • Applicants must be a K-12 classroom teacher, with funds that will be paid directly to the school.
  • Each teacher is limited to one grant award per school year.  
  • Funds must be spent on the items proposed in the original application. 

Funding can be used towards: 

  • STEM classroom kits and supplies 
  • Math materials 
  • Parts and supplies for robotics programs 

Funding CANNOT be used toward the following: 

  • Books intended for school-wide use 
  • Ancillary equipment such as PCs, printers, computer scanners, and other hardware 
  • Audio visual equipment including recording equipment and digital cameras 
  • Travel, registration, materials, and other fees associated with museums, planetariums, field trips, competitions, and other events 
  • Teacher workshop fees 

The Aerospace Corporations K-12 Outreach Committee consists of the Corporate Community Engagement team and key partners in education. This team will review all applications that meet the outlined requirements and make recommendations on funding. Based on the amount of applications, the committee will choose to award projects that best serve students and align with The Aerospace Corporation’s mission. 

Application Instructions: 

All applications must be submitted using the below form by close of business on September 19, 2025. The application must include this completed application, the lesson plan, and list of materials. 

August 12, 2025– Submission Period Opens 

September 19, 2025 – Application Deadline 

September 24, 2025 – Awardees are notified via email and grants are distributed 

Note: Grant proposals must be complete and submitted by the grant submission period close date to be considered. All grant proposals must be submitted through this form. No paper submissions will be accepted. By applying to this classroom grant, you are agreeing to allow The Aerospace Corporation to make any necessary changes to the lesson plan, post the final product on its website, and share with teachers for their own use.
