Application due date: Extended! Sepetember 20, 2023

Calling all Eighth Graders! We need your help opening the AIAA’s ASCEND Conference.

We want to hear from you, the first generation that may have the opportunity to live and work beyond Earth! We are asking you to submit a video answering questions about the future of space and your aspirations. These videos will be used to introduce the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) ASCEND Conference this fall.

If you are interested in participating, you must be in the eighth grade and over the age of 13. Videos should be 30 to 60 seconds long, filmed in landscape mode, and feature yourself answering one of the below prompts. Completed videos and release forms must be submitted with this form, or by email to STEM@aero.org, by September 20.

Video prompts:

  • Draw a picture or write a short story of what you think the future of space will look like. Show and share what you created!
  • What do you think you’ll be doing in space one day?
  • What kind of job do you think you’ll be doing in the future?
  • What excites you most as you think about your future?
